I’ve chosen that double-dip name for my blog (Sophy-wisdom), first because Sophy is my Christened name, spelt like that, with a “y,” and then because all my life I’ve been straining and struggling to find wisdom.

Dear Sophy, Call me Avid Reader! I very much look forward to reading your stories and about whatever you notice / recommend.
Sophy, this is such a fun story about the phone call. I have heard so many like this– well, none quite as extraordinary– and look forward to hearing more on your blog.
I have a little story, or rather, an anecdote. I have some glass cabinets for trinkets hanging on the wall to the left of my bed. They have been there for some years. On the night my father died, one fell to the floor (nothing broke, except the hook on the top of the cabinet and the top of the cabinet itself). I have heard that in many families this is common– a picture falls, or something similar. Certainly it was extraordinary. Somehow, I found it very reassuring.
Hello Sophy!
I’m thrilled to see your blog and will faithfully read everything you write! Your name is divinely assigned to you. I couldn’t think of a better fit.
With tremendous affection,
Dawn
Dear Sophy,
I enjoyed reading your blog. It is inspiring!
I’m so glad you like my blog. I think of you Mishkat so often. How are you doing? I watched a report on the marshes of Iraq on PBS the other night. Were you involved? 10,000 blessings, sophy

Dear Sopy,
only a half hour, while I work my ordinary job, in my head were the words emerged: Book of Angels. I do not ask more from where, I sat to look on the internet. I found out you, your blog and your books!
Thank Heaven, thank the Angels and thank you!
Sonja (nickname: Sophia)
Dear Sophy, just finished reading your Angel book. The ghost part triggered in me the memory of an encounter. At the time I poopood it and now I know it was real. While helping a friend pack and dispense the contents of her deceased mothers apartment, we had pretty much finished the process. All that remained were her grandmothers dishes and other family treasures. We were discussing what to do with them when I became really cold( the temp outside was 90 degrees) I turned to see a shadowy woman dressed in a house dress and curlers in her hair shaking a finger at me! I described what I was seeing and my friend said that was her mother. She admonished me for thinking of giving away her treasures. My friend then assured her mother that she would take them to her home. I became warm again.
